Guide to the Pedlar District - GWNF

Product Description

The Pedlar District offers a more rugged and challenging hiking experience than the neighboring ranges. The climbs are generally longer, the hills steeper and the waterfalls higher. The Hiking Guide to the Pedlar District, George Washington National Forest covers more than 50 trails, providing data such as trail length, blazes and conditions, along with landmarks and the history and geology of the region.

The guide is divided into four sections:

  • Sherando Lake and the St. Mary's Wilderness
  • Appalachian Trail from Rockfish Gap (I-64) to the Tye River (VA Route 56)
  • Appalachian Trail from Tye River to US Route 60
  • Appalachian Trail from US Route 60 to the James River

Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. Third Edition, 2002.
